If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased this less than a month ago. I made one item. The bobbin mechanism keeps getting out of alignment and breaking needles. I purchased this as a backup machine for my 17-year old Confidence 7470. Definitely not the same quality.
As a lifelong Singer user, I will not purchase a Singer in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
