So I've had these pair for a month and at first, it is weird as you try to learn the app as it has a few glitches which I'm sure will be fixed sooner or later. Let's jump on the experience.
Upon opening, it was simply just plug in the case to a USB c type to charge and as soon as it turned on and open the case, my phone recognized it for fast pairing. Upon getting the app, it's a tad slow for the app to load up the setting for the buds but once in. You have ample of choices and setting you can use for your earbuds. One thing I'd like to add is LDAC will restart your buds and case and then you do need to go to your phone Bluetooth setting and also activate LDAC there for full experience. After that, I started having some glitch where my screen would revert to the default. I've noticed this is due to making earbuds changes such as LDAC as it restarts it since you can't have Spatial Audio while LDAC is on but you gain so much with LDAC so I'd recommend pick your favorite setting first, stick with it and then customized the background. (Note that EQ won't affect it.
The fit is good if not something feels off but reality, it hasn't budged. I use these buds for work as a welder as well for almost 10 hours a day which mean I do have some physical duty around and never once popped out. (Please note, do not use ANC for any labour type of work! You can actually damage your ears more than anything, leave it off as a passive canceler or get a OHSA plug for your earbuds). Touch button works flawless but sadly, can't fully customized the gesture aside their presets but it is easily workable with. The case has been useful in my department as while I leave my phone to charge, I can use the case for volume and what not since my left buds is for ambient sound control gesture and my right is playback gesture which meither gives volume control on buds (part of the bummer of not being able to customize each gesture).
The sound is going to be the best part and big reason why you would buy this, especially when on sale. Aside the fancy case that catches anyone's attention, these buds are not to be mistaken for the other Beams version of JBL. These pack a good bass thump similar to subwoofer for your ears at the right EQ and LDAC. With that said, don't get me wrong, there is still some good mid and high but it is big on the low's.
Final verdict, get them especially on sale if you want a lower end premium audio. I got them when it was 199 vs 279 and I think I would have still gotten them at that price. I love my bass and if you're a bass person, you really can't go wrong with JBL.
