Unexpected rise in volume

We purchased two of these headphones just three days ago. We charged them until the light turned blue indicating a full charge. The first night I used mine was fine. Also fine for night two. Last night I connected just fine, then suddenly the volume was gone. I powered them off and on again about four times and nothing improved. I then plugged them in and let them charge again until the light was blue. I then connected to the tv, thought everything was ok, but I would set them to a good listening volume for me, and suddenly the headphones jumped to max volume. This happened three times and then I gave up. VERY FRUSTRATING
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
