The unit is nice, but I would expect it to know the difference between the thread tension and when a bobbin runs out. My Viking Topaz does at a fraction of the cost.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother PR1X is a great machine for hard to hoop items. You are able to embroider on hats, bags, and stuffed animals. Threading is super easy and no stand is needed. Great to start with if you want features of a multi needle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing machine and so easy to use. The PR1X is a great unit for beginners and customers who want to start their own business. The price is amazing and the machine is simple to use. You can embroider a hat in minutes. The Two point placement takes the guess work out where your design will end up.
Great open arm features/ poor design as a "PR" pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is a good product for what it is. If a HOBBIEST wants to embroider bags, shirts, small amount of hats. But at the end of the day it's still a home machine with a poorly designed upper shaft. I've replaced 3 of these(upper shafts) in the prs100 because i sold them as "industrial machines" and they did not perform. Again this product is fine and has a good price point, just shouldn't be considered a PR product as it does not stand up to industrial use..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the 8x12 embroidery field size and the cylinder arm to be able to embroider ready made items like caps, baby clothes, bags etc. And the two-point positioning laser makes getting the design perfectly placed--so easy!
