I replaced a corded Premier Reformer and a corded AeroPilates with Rebounder Reformer with the AeroPilates Pro XP557 with the tension springs. The assembly is farly easy if directions are followed. The reformer provides an enhanced experience with home Pilates. It's not a professional studio reformer, but it's the next best thing. It's solid and smooth, far superior than the corded reformer.
My first one was so good, I wore it out!!! When looking for a new one, I had to go back to the one I knew would do everything I needed in my Pilates workout, and be in my price range. This one is perfect. I love it.
We have had this reformer for a month. I bought it through Amazon. Had no trouble assembling it with the tools provided. The reformer looks good and performs well for the most part. It is not equal to the reformers at my Pilates studio but I wasn’t expecting that for the price. The hand straps are small. Otherwise I am pleased
Just received my XP557 Reformer a week ago. Arrived quickly and the delivery driver even brought the box into our home gym for us. Product was well packaged and undamaged. Directions were easy to follow and it took my husband just a bit over an hour to put it together. Very well built and sturdy machine. Carriage is good width, nicely padded, and glides smoothly. The springs on this machine offer sufficient tension for workouts, but for those of us who are at an interemediate level Stamina does carry RED springs (their strongest) as an additional option for more tension. I've also ordered the box/pole , and the Pilates Magic Circle to use with my reformer....adding even more versatility and options to my workouts. Absolutely love my new reformer and all the props. Great features, quality, and price....I would def recommend this product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I originally purchased an aeropilates from a shopping network. Upon getting it home I realized it was not long enough for me - particularly to rebound on. I returned it and purchased the ProXP557. Although this does take up space - it looks like a class-act piece of equipment. I have had my ProXP557 for 8+ years. I have had no problems with it, it has withstood almost daily use. Well made, functional, and an asset to one's health.
I had my reformer for about two weeks now, and I feel like it's going to help me stay in shape. It's easy to use and the workouts are very doable in the amount of time I have. It was easy to put together my husband and I did it with out much trouble and no yelling. haha My daughter also enjoys the work outs and have been using it regularly. The only thing I don't like is the sound of the springs, they kind of squeak or sing to the rhythm of the exercise. Over all I think I'm going to love this reformer.
Fabulous reformer. It is about 15" off the floor, making it easy to get on and off it. I replaced a Stamina reformer that sat on the floor and had cords. I love the springs on the 557.
Delivery was fabulous and immediate. We had white glove service. 5 stars for delivery. The smell was horrible. It was a very strong coal tar odor. So we unpacked each piece and spread it all out in our garage and let it air out for a couple of weeks before bringing it inside and attempting assembly. Except for piecing the frame together assembly was quick and easy. It does require two people. The pieces used to connect the frame are definitely left and right handed and it would help if the manufacturer labeled them thusly so we wouldn't have to guess. The diagram isn't very good either.
