I have purchased two of these cartridges recently for an HP Deskjet 2540 printer. The first one degraded and the colors faded within two weeks of very moderate use (maybe 200 pages printed total) -- besides just fading, blues were coming out pink and other colors were so faded as to be unreadable if the color was in printed text. I chalked this up as a fluke and ordered an additional cartridge. The same thing happened. This is the worst ink cartridge I have ever had the misfortune to have ordered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
