Been wearing HRM for a while and tried this one out fell off twice during a baseball session and then the third time dealing with it was a deal breaker and had to return it.
In highly active sports, this is a significant more accurate gauge of Heart rate. As a recovering heart patient I was often alarmed by the heart rate numbers the wrist gauge was telling me. Now I know I'm safe in what I'm doing with my health concerns.
I’ve been a Garmin loyalist for years, and the HRM‑600 just reminded me why. The accuracy is unreal, the running‑dynamics data is next‑level, and the step speed loss metric has genuinely tightened up my form and helped me hold pace with way less drift. The strap is tough, comfortable, and the battery feels like it runs forever.
Yeah, it’s pricey, that’s the one downside. But if you’re serious about training, data, and actually improving, it’s worth every dollar. I’m genuinely happy I picked it up. It feels like one of those upgrades that pushes you toward the version of yourself you’re trying to build.
Great strap more comfortable that others I used in the past. I like the fact you can unplug the main unit to charge it as it makes it easier to wash the strap from all the sweat.
The question is how long it will last since the charging terminals are open and sweat etc might get in.
Unless you have a Forerunner 970, it's not worth it to upgrade from another Garmin HRM. This HRM is so expensive and complicated that I'd only buy it if I had a FR970.
