I love the way food tastes when re-heated in the crock pot. It tastes just the way it does when you first cook it. Microwaving food ruins food texture and taste.
One problem is that the metal rim that the removable container sits on gets very hot. You have to be very careful when removing it so that you don't get burned.

I've now bought four of these small crockpot food warmers; one for myself and three as gifts. I work an evening shift and use this for my dinner. It's great for leftovers. I plug it in when I get to work and it's nice and hot by my dinner break. You may need to add a little liquid to your meal before plugging it in so the food does not dry out.

It's nice to be able to heat up the food at my office desk and eat whenever it's ready, but it seems the heat dries up the rice close to the side of inner pot a bit. The lid takes a little effort to line up and screw in tight.
