Garmin Approach R10 Launch Monitor works great

I bought this 8 months ago and am finally writing a review on it. I use this when I was going to the range to see how accurate it was in measuring the ball flight and distance. It did really well and I was happy with it. I really like the club path, ball path, and the attach angle to show me when it's a good hit ball vs a poorly hit ball. I use a couple of different apps with it. For golf range simulation I will use the standard Garmin golf range but will mainly use Awesome golf App. It shows you a lot of info in regards to club face, club path, ball flight and of couse carry and total distance. Awesome Golf Launch monitor for the cost. Much cheaper than those more expensive launch monitors.

When it works, its great!!!

When this thing works, its really good. My main problem is I will be playing a round and my R10 will disconect and I will lose the round. Its very frustrating. The normal driving range part works great but when I play hometown hero is where I have problems but that is what I want to playt he most

Ups and downs

I bought this last year and it has gone through alot of changes. Pros: Having multiple courses to go to in the nation and getting use to a course in my area. The software update to the driving range has been good, the landscape change has been nice and I can use it wherever I want. Cons: sometimes it is inconsistent with finding the ball at the range, it needs to be level all the time and cannot be unlevel areas. Would be nice to have it be more consistent when hitting balls at the driving range. At home it works great, but sometimes it will not catch some balls closer to dusk. Cannot putt on the garmin and wish they would add putting to compete with other simulators. Overall its a good product, but they need to add more features to help out the average golfer.

Great features

Great launch monitor for the price!

I love using my garmin r10. It has helped me dial in my clubs and creates fun to play on different courses from home or at the range.

It is a good low level monitor. There are certainly shots that misfire and read incorrectly. There are also many shots around the green in chip shots that don’t get read at all. Room to be improved but good for the value.

Really happy with my Garmin R10. It has been easy to use as long as you follow the simple directions. Not a knock to Garmin but I wish someone would work on making it so you can get somewhat accurate numbers with Almost Golf Balls. There are times when I could be using it more but due to the noise with hitting real balls I cant. All in all very happy with my purchase.
