I bought 2 thinking the first was defective. But both were not even close. Crazy short.

Thank you for your review and experience with the Approach R10. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Thanks Jenny
I’m continuing to be surprised how awesome this R10 is. I honestly can’t believe it’s been out for a couple years and I missed it. I just recently got into shopping for a launch monitor and first tried a smaller basic unit from another vendor with less than impressive results. Inaccurate reads or complete misreads.
A month later I thought I’d give the Garmin a try and was completely blown away by the results. I purchased the recommended Titleist RCT golf balls for added accuracy and realism. The R10 is now reading much more accurate spin and side spin rates.
The RCT balls introduced my ‘normal’ fade on most every shot which tells me the R10 unit is reading quite accurately. I have the R10 paired with E6 Connect and it is quite close to my real course results and quite fun to play. I’ve since put a large driving cage with impact screen in the garage and have a nice simulator set up.
The only downside of this is trying to keep everyone else from playing the darn thing. I’m about ready to begin issuing tee times to family and neighbors.
If you want a quality launch monitor and a good sim experience, you can’t go wrong with the Garmin R10

Hello fellow golfers! The Garmin R10's features that work correctly and are great are the stats it provides; club head speed, ball speed, club face angle at impact, carry, total distance, and on and on. Another great feature is the auto swing video, when you set up your capable phone or iPad. My problem is distance numbers are not correct. I believe it's just a set up issue but I don't know. I say for the money it does a lot but not all the data is correct.

Bought ir a month ago and i am quite impressed overall with the unit! The only issue I am experiencing is when playing a simulated round, it does not want to register soft chip shots of 30 yards or less. Hopefully I can figure that issue out, but overall very impressed.

It gives me great feedback for the price point. Sometimes have erratic measures, but I know they're misreads. Would love to have no-ball tracking enabled to practice inside without a net/screen.

I mainly got this to help manage/track club distance while on the range. It takes the guesswork out of it for each club. I also like the video capabilities as well so I can see each swing/hit.
The device is great. Setup was easy but a bit finicky to pick up RCT balls at first. The Garmin Golf App is atrocious however. Yardages are significantly shorter than E6 and Awesome Golf (which are pretty dead on with yardages). Also the app should have an iPad version to help with simulation.

I've used it at the range twice and from the data I've been able to correct a swing path issue with my wedges. Should help my scoring 5 to 8 shots a round. It has also been humbling to learn how short I am hitting my driver!
