Too inconsistent and inaccurate to be worth anything. Setup is easy. You have to pay monthly for garmin golf which is not worth it. It's so inconsistent with tracking and videoing your swing that I have just deemed it worthless. Data points are really inaccurate and can really only track clubs with a high loft. Anything past a 5 iron for me it had a tough time getting shot data. Was a cheap way for me to setup golf in my backyard but the technology and accuracy just isn't there.
Seriously one of the best additions to my golf game!! Absolutely has made a difference in the practice and Confidence. So great to be able to practice at home and get good results of what's happening with my swing. Paired with Titleist RCT balls it give killer data that is very accurate considering it's size
I started to get back into playing golf again. I bought the R10 to help get me back into the swing of things. I used it on a range that had Top Tracer installed, and the the data that the R10 captures compared to the Top Tracer was by far the better product. I really like the video capability that Garmin has integrated into the R10. Extremely happy with the Garmin R10.

This is a great product for the price. The level of data it provides was better than expected. I used it at the driving range that had Top Tracer installed, and I was more impressed with the amount of data and accuracy the Garmin provided.
The Garmin R10 works great and is incredibly portable and easy to setup. There are some tweaks needed to get the readings dialed in but it is very user friendly and powerful for its size.
A key to ideal use is understanding measured data vs. calculated data and the context as it applies to your ball and club movement. With proper context it is a powerful tool to help you improve your game and transform your practice regimen.
I ended up returning mine out of frustration. I was having connection issues and it was hit or miss (no pun intended) on whether it would read my shot. Especially on chips. It made playing courses vs my kids extremely frustrating and my kids’ patience waned. Lastly, I was consistently hitting draws and hooks. I haven’t hit a draw or hook in my life. I’m a slicer! I confirmed it at the range the following day.

Thank you for your review and experience with the Approach R10. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Thanks Jenny
If you want a backyard or garage sim setup this is the way to go! I use it into a net and run it through an IPAD that is hooked to a TV. It certainly satisfies my golf addiction as a father of 3 young kids that cant get out enough. I use awesome golf for the driving ranges and swing stats and E6 for the simulator. Both lack accuracy in distance on the driver and 3 metal but its pretty dialed in from there down. Both of these apps require a membership, awesome golf is 350 lifetime and E6 is 300 for a year +/- but E6 has a demo version included. Be prepared to consider a drive of 250 an absolute bomb! I also would recommend you have 7 feet to the device and at least 8 ft to the net. I use RCT ProV1x balls but cant tell a difference really. It is a great product that use almost daily.

While it is not nearly as accurate as one of the more expensive launch monitors it is a great unit for the price. I feel it often gives me shorter shot distances than what I would actually get and also does not think my shank shots are as off line as they actually are. I have not had a chance to use it outside yet, so maybe that will make a difference. It's great to be able to setup and use it very quickly and easily.
