I have had my r10 for about a year and not happy with the Garmin app being so generic with home town hero and practice . R10 is to difficult to use on anything other than iOS platforms and shots are way off on distance . I would not recommend this product and should have known after buying a garmin fishfinder .

Purchased it to help improve my ball striking. I needed to correct my club face at impact. The Garmin R10 helped tremendously. Well worth the investment. I can’t wait to dive into some of the other features.
We are learning to play golf. I got the R10 mainly so we could practice at home in our yard. It's fantastic! We are able to not just work on our skills, but play against each other as well. We love playing the virtual St. Andrews Old Course- it even occasionally has howling winds speeds just to keep it as authentic as possible. We even took the R10 to Topgolf to compare and get information that they don't supply-like swing speed. I believe the subscription boasts that includes more than 40,000 courses so you are likely to never be bored-unless you forget to charge the R10 or your phone. ;D
The R10 is a feature heavy marvel! I have found the device to be reliable, consistent, and downright entertaining! As relatively new golfers, my wife and I are very excited to use the measured and algorithmic data to refine our performance and move towards tangible improvements. We love the Garmin, especially when bundled with Awesome Golf!
I have used this device approximately 5-6 times. It appears to capture the ball impact appropriately 80% of time. Some of that 20% is probably less than ideal device placement. The audio read-out feature is nice.
