Worst tri accessory I ever bought
on February 11, 2026
Posted by: DisappointedJanel
I had the old Garmins with the battery ( the blue one and the yellow one) and they were wonderful. The hrm600 said it was compatible with Fenix 6s and could be used for swimming. Not. My Fenix6s keeps searching and never finds the HRM after a swim. I ca not see where it is any better than the wrist for running and biking. So I’m returning it. Why did you discontinue the one for triathlon. The HRM600 is a disappointment and waste of money

Unable to detach from strap

I returned it the next day. I couldn’t detach it from the strap and that is necessary to recharge. Even my strong husband couldn’t remove it. I was so disappointed.

Great Battery, and for sauna use
on February 12, 2026

I love the battery life (I use it 4ish times a week) to track my workouts and sauna use. I love the activity tracking so I don't have to carry my phone or watch into the sauna.

Connects with different apps. For example, it connects to the Kinomap app I use with my indoor rower.

I like this product, and especially the possibility to unplug the electronics and wash the strap that's mostly become durty.

So far so good

Bought this to replace a Garmin Pro Plus that fell apart after just over a year of use. Despite religiously washing it once a week, the rubber/plastic contact pad delaminated from the strap. Let’s hope this one holds up better.

Reliable HRM
on February 26, 2026

The new HRM 600 is a much-improved model over the previous version. It is not as sensitive to position of the strap. Rechargeable battery is a plus, but the main feature is its reliability, and it seems to always connect with a watch. This is particularly important for winter sports where it is not easy to reset it.
