Pretty Planter!

The wishing well planter is very pretty! The only problem I have with it is that I wish in the description it would of noted that the big planter on the bottom doesn’t come with a bottom in it, so how are you suppose to put your dirt in there to plant your flowers, if not a bottom then they should of supplied it with a plastic insert to put in there, my husband had to make a bottom for it and then drilled holes on the bottom for drainage.

It is very cute, easy to put together, the only thing to consider is that you will end with some of the color of the wood In your hands and the color will change after the first rain. Other than that, it awesome!

This is a lovely wishing well to add to your yard. Friends and neighbors have all told me how much they love it. The reason for only four stars is due to some minor chips in the wood and some unevenness in the finish. I touched it up with some dark walnut stain and it looks great. Assembly was fairly easy, but I would recommend putting it on towels or something as the finish does rub off a bit. Also there's no bottom, so if you want to weight it down like I did, you'll need to make a bottom. I stapled landscape fabric on the inside with a heavy duty staple gun, put the well in place, and then added some rock to weight it down. It might lean on you a bit, so make sure it's standing straight before putting soil or rock inside it. Not all holes are predrilled, but the wood is very soft, so drilling isn't necessary. Last thing, I recommend spraying it with a clear gloss protectant.

It was easy to put together but you have to pay attention to how the pieces interlock. A power drill is highly advisable to use for drilling the posts into the main part of the well walls. The roof and hanging pot comes assembled already.
