Are you allergic to plastics?

This is a nice filtration/RO system. Put it all together easily and it runs well. Not sure what materials the filters contain or what the plastic container is made of, but so far, I am allergic to the water. I am sensitive to certain plasitcs and the pitcher had a smell when it arrived. I washed everything with warm soapy water and even left warm water in it for an hour or so, then rinsed with cool and dried. Ran several pitchers through the filter as instructed. Noticed that the water had a plastic taste and that the pitcher also smelled of plasitc. Ran water through there and immediately poured it into a glass container. Too bad that my mouth and throat still burned when drinking. I am leaving it on the counter to off gas and will try it again later. Had an RO system before that I had no issue with but there was no plastic involved. Might work great for someone that is not bothered by chemicals!

The water tastes great. It filters through fast, no waiting. The ice I make is crystal clear with no hard water floaters. And no more buying heavy cases of bottled water to pack into the house. No more plastic bottles to recycle or throw away.

I'm such a fan of this product, bought my first one 4 years ago and have since purchased one for my son's apartment and one for my camper. I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of the smaller caraffe style that was developed this year.

Great machine

I really love this water filter. I have the piece that remineralizes and the water tastes absolutely great. I've had it now for about 10 months and it's a great workhorse. My biggest issue is that on occasion water leaks from The filling tank all over my counter. Every time I refill it I am sure to make sure that it's fully settled into the base but no matter what on occasion it's still leaks. I appreciate the size given that my kitchen is pretty small but I would love it if the water tank was bigger. But I know that's a balance between being too bulky and being perfect for the counter.
All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and absolutely would purchase it again. I've saved so much money on water but also ensured that I get the minerals that I need and no extra microplastics from the bottles.

I bought this for my daughter and son-in-law because they live in a home built in the 1920’s . I truly feel that every home should have a purifier these days, but especially the old homes. They both were non believers about water taste, but now have become water snobs! They now take their own water with them to work!

Will be getting rid of it and have used for about 6 months. Maintenance is annoying, have to constantly fill the tank etc. just spend the money and invest on a faucet RO system instead
