Price for such a small tank

I love love the way the water taste. I did a comparison tests with my friends and aquatru won hands down. The only thing I am disappointed with is how many times I have to refill the water tank. I drink water all day and refill it about 4 or 5 times a day.

Wastes ALOT if water

Love the quality of the water however it only makes a very limited amount so if you are a heavy user you have to refill 4-6 times Day. The worst thing is the back chamber only uses half the water you put in and you have to discard any water that remains in the chamber. So it wastes a tone of water every time you use it - money down the sink. The unit should purify all water in the back chamber but ours literally only does half. I was tossing up between this and a Berkeley and wish I had chosen the Berkeley as I assume it wouldn’t waste as much water. Again though the quality and taste of the small amount that comes out is very good.

Good for couple. In larger family would be changing water all the time. Keeps us busy with just water for drinking and coffee for two of us. For larger family would need a whole house system. We also use a Zero water pitcher for a fifth filter stage. We put the AquaTru water into the Zero Water pitcher. Our tap water registers 145 on Zero water tester. AquaTru drops it to 5 or 6. Zero pitcher takes it to zero so now the Zero Water filter lasts a much longer time. We have drastically dropped our use of bottled water. Zero water filters take the test reading to zero routinely but the filters are expensive and you change them when the reading reaches 5 or 6 which is equal to Aqua true’s results. Haven’t changed Aqua Tru’s filters yet but they are much more expensive than Zero Water. If I had to choose only one system I would keep the Zero Water, but together they make a great, if complicated, system.

Very good filter

I love the taste of water and that I can filter my water quickly anytime I want. I don’t let my waiter stay in the plastic tank though I pour it to my 1 gallon jar.

Finally drinking water!

I have never been able to stand the taste of water. Now I am drinking a lot of water. I purchased a second water reservoir so I always have one in the refrigerator so I can wash the other as I empty it. Then it is ready to fill when I know I will be emptying the current one. Fresh, clean water in no time and always available! Haven't had to replace filters yet, so that will be a new expense/experience soon.

Does its job, but has a horrible design

I've owned this device for four months. I trusted Dr. Hyman on this recommendation, but unfortunately, it felt like was pushing this without really testing its daily usage. The design for the water reservoir is horrible; hard water deposits get stuck in the container and cleaning by hand is a chore and a task. While I understand that this is a normal task needed given how hard water can build up, the design of the reservoir does not allow large hands to be able to truly clean it up. Definitely save your money and buy a eSpring Carbon Water Treatment System; the quality is better and there is no cleaning that you need to do. The device also emits large amounts of blue light which is known to cause sleep problems, and regarding electric consumption; the device will stay on nonstop if you fill the water reservoir while the clean water container is still full.
