Water tastes great!

Assembly was simple. The water tastes really good. We have tried bottled water when not at home and it tastes terrible now. We carry AquaTru water with us now.

maintenance

I have used a Katadyn filter for many years and it is maintenance free basically except for an occasional wipe down of the filters. It has served us well in a foreign country. One of my daughter's uses berkey filter and it is also basically maintenance free, except for infrequent changes of filters. In the US now we bought the Aqua Tru for our daughter and it has required way to much maintenance and changing of filters. It doesn't like hard water, but we prefer to use hard rather than soft because of the sodium but have to use soft water. I'm sure it does a very good job of removing all of the things we don't want in our water, but it is impractical for a large family!

Our water smells better and tastes better

We have had our Aqua Tru system for a couple years now. It claims to remove significant amount of impurities from the water. I have no way to test the accuracy of that statement but I can tell you our water definitely smells better and tastes better so I suspect it’s doing the job. The chlorine smell is completely gone! The two tanks require washing with soap and water once a week. It takes about 10-15 minutes to do that, and also uses a lot of water that ends up going down the drain. Every time the tank needs to be refilled, more water has to be discarded, so there is a significant amount of water discarded in order to produce whatever you end up drinking. I have experienced a small quality issue in the past two weeks. There seems to be some leaking from the base of the front tank. I’m still trying to work it out before buying a new front storage tank. The unit is only a little over two years old so I am a little disappointed to be having a problem with it now.

Works great, easy to use, and water tastes great!

Overall we love it!! We’ve had it for about three weeks and our water tastes and even looks so much cleaner! We have the perfect place for it in our kitchen luckily because there is room right behind our sink, our faucet is offset and there is an outlet right below. We can dispense the water right over the sink. I think it would be awkward to have it on the counter dispensing over the floor . The spigot doesn’t some out very far so it would have to be right at the edge of the counter if you wanted to dispense into anything taller than a glass or mug.

Love drinking clean water

We love everything about this filter with one exception: we can't seem to find the ideal spot on the counter top for it....we don't have a huge kitchen! Outside of that.....it's great!

Love the convenience and quality. Only one thing I don’t like is the thing leaks. Something about the blue release button, when you lift it up, move it even when not pushing the button, water comes out. I even bought a new tank and the same thing happens.

The products is easy to set up and use. Changing out the filters is easy. The build up of algae is expected but you are able to clean it. There are a couple of areas where it would be nice to be able to get to more easily when cleaning places like the rubber stoppers and in a very small area in the front water tank at the top.

Great alternative to undercounted reverse osmosis

I really enjoy the fresh, clean water from the Aqua Tru unit. It's easy to use and produces very clean water. The filters have lasted 2 years now, and I was thrilled to get replacements at a special sale recently. It's terrific to have this unit without plumbing costs for undercounted reverse osmosis, and it can easily be taken with me if I move.
