We LOVE the AquaTru Carafe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVE the AquaTru Carafe. It is easy to use, takes up little space, and the filtered water is so tasty and refreshing. Hubby and I are delighted with the taste. We are using the filter that adds back important minerals so I don't know what the water tastes like when filtered with the other carbon filter. We also bought an extra pitcher and keep that one in the refrigerator filled with filtered water to drink cold. This way if one of our pitchers ever break, we already have another one to use for the machine--but the pitcher is high quality and strong so we don't anticipate a problem unless we drop it. We also added 3/4 inch small teflon appliance sliders to the feet of the machine to make sliding it around (for filling and emptying, replacing filters and maintenance) much easier. We are happy customers!

I didn't realize how much water would be wasted each time I fill the carafe for filtering. I also can't tell the difference in taste from my Brita pitcher. Still evaluating though. . .

When the unit arrived it had a small scratch on the top of the casing but that does not affect the performance. My main complaint is that the reservoir can be finicky when placing it on the unit. Sometimes it doesn’t seem to line up right and I have to remove it and reseat it a couple of times to get it to sit correctly.
