This range hood is great at keeping the nasty smell away from my kitchen. I am cooking more and experimenting making new cuisines without worrying about the smell.

Worth it

I own the 30" version for over a year now. I replaced my under cabinet microwave. The air suction now makes a world of difference. My whole house no longer smells like the kitchen. The conversion pieces provided made sure it will fit your configuration (rectangle or circle). The instructions indicated that it's a 2 man job to install but it's more like a 3 man job. You can install with 2 people if you have the right tools to prop the hood vent up. My only gripe is that the clock runs so for some reason, it is always a minute behind. I would need to constantly adjust it.

The Hauslane Range Hood model UC-PS18-30

We ordered this vented range hood directly from the manufacturer. It came in less than a week. It took us awhile to get it installed because our handy man was ill. Installation was a bit of work because the hood is quite heavy. The fan motor is quite loud but it does the venting job it is supposed to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is probably my best kitchen investment ever. Moved in this place with an over-the-range microwave that doesn't suck well. This Hauslane PS18 came in right on time, and it is really a workhorse! I do a lot of sautéing with heavy, greasy recipes. After a few months the kitchen still smells fine. The design is sweet and modern. Most importantly, cleaning is quick and easy. Worth every penny of it!

Just what I was looking for

We were looking for a replacement for our underperforming builder-grade under the cabinet hood. The PS18 has been perfect. It draws all the cooking steam even from the front burners. At the higher speeds, it is a little loud but that doesn't bother me when I really need it to perform. It was definitely a strong three-person job to install and we needed a significant amount of prep work. We had to wire an outlet because the old hood was hard-wired. It is also well built so that means heavy. If you are not an experienced DIYer, I would highly recommend hiring a professional with the right installation equipment like cabinet jacks. One item I overlooked but is not a huge deal for me was that there is only one brightness setting for the lights. I know some people like to use them as night lights but the one setting is bright for seeing your stovetop. In the next version, I would recommend they add that feature,
