Be sure your vent pipe is 6”. Ours was 5” and we had to make our own adapter.
Also the unit came with a plug but our old vent was direct wired. So additional electric work was required.
The manual says mount 30” above gas range top which is too high to adequately draw smoke (we feel). HVAC techs feel 19” is optimal.
It is a really high quality fan and we love it.

The hood itself is well engineered and bitgnfunctimally and aesthetically it pairs well with my 36” wolf cooktop. It’s more efficient at smoke and odor capture than the Jenn air pro it replaced and it’s almost silent on lowest speed. The only negatives I can live with but recommend: they fix in future units: Lights only on and off. Should have a low light setting too to be more luxury product. Takes 2 button presses to turn on the fan. Would be better if the on button turned the blower on too so just one press needed. The documentation and service team are amazing. They really know their product.

Really happy with this fan. Looks nice, modern, controls easy to use, very quiet on low speed, not too loud on high speed. This fan really does suck, in a good way.
Two items I like to see improved: (1) move where the power cord comes out. It is exactly where typical cabinet dowels are; (2) have more mounting slots so that you can use the ones that best suit the cabinet.

I recently purchased the PS18 range hood and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The powerful suction of this range hood has made a noticeable difference in the freshness of my kitchen.
One of the things I love most about the PS18 is how quiet it is while in use. I've had other range hoods in the past that were so loud that I couldn't hold a conversation while cooking, but that's not a problem with the PS18. It's also easy to clean, which is a huge plus.
