I bought th3 hood online and it arrived quickly, within 3 days. I installed it myself. Just a caveat for those who are thinking of doing that, make sure you have a lift to raise the hood in place. Or have a friend help you out. If you're handy, installation takes no more than an hour, including removal of the old hood & clean-up.
I really like my PS18. I cook and bake big batches and like to experiment with different recipes. With my old hood, I needed to open the windows and door to create cross ventilation... no need for that with the PS18. Just set it to the highest speed and no smell anywhere in the house, no more smells on my clothes. Even works when searing a steak!
Some folks have said it's loud... It has two large fans that move air. Some fan noise is to be expected... just turn up the music :)

Wonderful Range Hood

Excellent Range hood, we have used it for about 2 years. It's so great we can stick the baffles into our dishwasher, which helps with the maintenance of the unit. Performance is great, quiet when simmering things, and not too loud when running at high speed. Support is also great, staff is quick to respond. A definite upgrade for any remodeling project.

Simplicity at its best

I searched for weeks for a hood vent and when I came across Hauslane I knew from the moment I saw the baffle filter I could put in the dishwasher I had to give this product a thorough look, so thrilled I did not only is it stunning it is powerful and surprisingly quite on high! This hood vent is worth every dollar I paid.
I now feel comfortable to fry chicken and sear a steak in my cast iron skillet something I’ve haven’t been willing to do for several years.

I am the proud owner of the UC-PS18 under cabinet hood kitchen vent. I will not be able to enjoy it until May 2024 as I am out of town until then. I did my research and my installer said it was one of the best he has ever installed.
