The fan is outstanding. It was a great choice on our part. We replaced an overhead microwave/fan. The installation was an incredible challenge. Make sure you plan it. Strongly recommend three (3) people or cabinet jacks to line the four (4) screws hanging down from the overhead cabinet. They do NOT provide a template for your screws. Create your own template with some printer paper. Drill tiny holes for the screws to guide into the cabinet. Take off the cover and grills for the fans underneath. Put the screws in only halfway or less. Lining it up takes some grunt work. Make sure those washers are inside the vent (just jiggle like crazy if they get skewed to get them to pop-in). Be patient. Tighten the front ones first. Get a small hand to snake-in and get to the back ones. Like putting lugnuts on a tire on car, alternate going up (screwing). I personally had the screws in the back lower than the front ones before lifting fan into place onto the washers. It was a challenge, but WOW what a fan.
I’ve been using this range hood for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. The suction power is strong enough to eliminate most cooking odors and smoke within seconds. Even after stir-frying or grilling, my kitchen stays fresh and clean. The LED lighting is a nice bonus—it’s bright and energy-efficient. Overall, this is a high-quality product that offers excellent performance and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen ventilation!
Replaced an OTR microwave/exhaust with this Haulane UC-PS19 unit. Surprisingly quiet for how powerful it is. Would highly recommend to anyone considering it.
This is an attractive hood, and looks good in our kitchen. However, the install is tough - especially if you have 11" walls to cut through - so have someone qualified do at least that part. We chose this model because it claimed (at least at the time) to be one of the most quiet, but it's still hard to talk over even on the lower settings - forget about it when it's on full. Also, the air from the fans is not well funneled into the duct, so when on full there is actually blowback downward onto the stove. Probably true of any under-counter model, but be aware.
I’ve been using the Hauslane exhaust vent for 4 years now, and it has held up impressively well. The suction power is still strong, and it effectively clears out smoke and cooking odors. The stainless steel finish has stayed sleek with minimal upkeep, and the baffle filters are easy to clean. Overall, it’s a reliable and durable unit that has served my kitchen well over time.
I’ve now been using the Hauslane exhaust for past 5 years and that was the best decision. It has over 800 CFM that keeps the smell of cooking apicy foor out of my house.
