?I often don't feel like writing reviews because of laziness, but I had to write one for this. Normally, I take negative reviews into high consideration because people complain more than then compliment and I want to hear people's issue about products. With that said read the negative reviews all you want, for this unit, but trust the majority. This unit has been my best friend. I have an electric stove so the burners often smoke because of dropped or spilled oil or food. This has always left my house smelling like burnt toast. We rarely go out to dinner so most of our meals are home cooked . From burgers, bacon, fish, fried chicken, steak, our stove is usually pretty active, leaving the house smelling like what was cook days after we finished. So far I've made fried chicken, a full breakfast, and pan seared salmon. Outside smells like a restaurant and the inside has a faint smell of food. When frying food or just making something small the number 2-3 setting is perfect. When searing food, I turned it up to the max, just to be sure the house didn't get smokey. With that said...Here's the complaints...The only physical problem with this hood is the metallic smell, maybe because it's new. Other than that, this hood requires 6 inch duct. Working with the 6 inch duct was the hardest part because I went through the cabinet rather the ceiling or above the cabinet. You probably will have to do some improvising when installing your duct work. HVAC tape is your friend, and you'll need a good friend to help you fit the unit properly. After installing everything, I tested it out and it worked amazingly. It's not the most quiet hood, but I didn't think it would whisper pumping out that much air. Lets just say it does its job and for the price, it does it very well.
Excellent product, really enjoying it. Comparing to the old range hood I replaced, this one is much powerful and quieter, installation took some effort but not as bad as some earlier comments described.
This unit is reasonably quiet and moves a lot of air. Mine came with halogen bulbs, which I swapped out for LEDs, and the lighting is now wonderfully bright. My only minor complaint is that with wet fingers, the touch screen controls don't always respond on the first try. Assembly was not too difficulty, but I needed to buy a rather long screwdriver extension to get it attached.
Very handsome range hood and very well built. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the butterfly flange on the 6" round outlet had rattled loose during shipping. I snapped it back in easily by hand, but one half of the flange was accidentally stuck underneath the lip on the metal surrounding the outlet. I didn't realize until after I had installed it. Just make sure both halves of the flange rise upward freely when the fans are powered on before installing!
I've had the product for two months now. It works well for us as we almost cook every day. Also it looks nice from the outside. Our contractor also bought one after he installed it.

I have had the unit for a month now. I installed myself, not big deal, but it is heavy, I had to replace screws with nuts and bolts. Professional looking, really powerful, but quiet (second speed its enough for normal cooking), very bright lights (halogen) Great upgrade from what I had. Went from a microwave under cabinet to this commercial grade unit, very good quality and design.
Bought this hood according to the reviews. Hired a installer, and the installer was impressed by the first look with this price. The only complaint from the installer is that the top screws provided are shorter than expected and he has to find some longer ones. The hood looks great when installed. We prefer the 2nd level fan speed with quieter noise level and enough power. Overall very happy!
