Works great, but installation was tricky

The unit itself looks great, and is working great. At max power, the sound is reasonable. I like the LED lamps as I can turn them on instead of the main kitchen lights when watching TV at night in our adjoining family room. I only subtract one star for the hassle of installation. It is pretty straight forward (definitely a 2 person job), but DO yourself a favor, as another review said, and buy some long shaft Philip head screw bits, and maybe a small cabinet jack to assist in the install.
Very impressed with the quality of parts and materials. The lights are the right color (warm amber LED) and the stainless steel is bent and put together very well - (no pinches or holes in corners). The grease catch filters are of stout build with a thick aluminum chunk-handle.. I especially like all the clean wire looms that are nicely insulated and zip tied at proper points with proper clips for each internal component - great Quality Control overall through the whole unit. Well worth the price tag. In other words - this could pass for one of those "big names" with HUGE price tags.... Highly recommend this product and would buy another without hesitation. The fact that I broke a piece at my own fault at time of install and the service department sent me a new piece free of charge in two days was simply outstanding!"
Quality product with powerful fans and acceptable noise level at each fan speed.

Quality product with powerful fans and acceptable noise level at each fan speed. Only recommendation to the manufacturer is to provide detachable power cord and installation template.
We are serious cooks and I have installed dozen or more hoods during the past 40+ years. Most of them semi-professional variety (Vent-a-hood and the like). Having a small bungalow in Florida and less serious cooking demands, spending huge amount of money did not appeal to me. This hood does everything the ones costing two or three times as much did. Workmanship is great, material sturdy, baffles are dishwasher safe and there are no expensive mesh filters to mess with. Installation is not for the novice, good thing is every possible combination for exhaust was included, the less than good is that hood is very heavy and you will require a pro or a jig I made using some lumber and a hydraulic car jack. Hood works like a charm, noise is comparable to vent-a-hood and service is responsive - assistance is phone call away, answered by a live, competent and pleasant person. What else could you ask for?
Easy to install and good construction for a range hood.

This is a pretty good range hood, it is made of stainless steel and is actually quite easy to clean. It has several design features that make it easy to clean. The metal itself is pretty immune to strong detergents and heat. It has stainless steel "filters" which are easily put in the dishwasher. And all the inside fan parts of easily unscrewed and washed. It was easy enough to install, even by myself. I needed to just use a box to hold up the range while i secured it to the wall. It takes just the first screw to be secure, then the rest of them just fall in place. Took me about 30 minutes to get installed. The noise level is somewhat loud for the amount of suction. I do think that it is my ducting which is somewhat inadequate and is not quite wide enough to maximize the suction of the range hood. But the noise is acceptable droning sound. I do like that it has about 6 speeds. All in all an ok range. I think I should have sprung the extra money, to get the self cleaning model. Just to make it easier.
