Works fantastic the high cfm exhaust keeps the house free of cooking odors and most importantly my wife loves it.

I am impressed with this unit. The suction is very strong. It looks great too. One thing I would change is to make the flange taller. It barely made it through the wood of the cabinet, making wrapping it very difficult.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Powerful vent

Clean lines, simple controls (no sensors to fail), moves a lot of air quietly.
Installation required study - the power cord strain relief and molded end on the power cord required holes different than shown in the instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had higher expectations

Don’t get me wrong. The hood as advertised is plenty powerful. It also suctions lot of steam while cooking. However I was under the impression from the advertisement videos that no one will be able to smell the food while I am cooking. But the cooking smell gets around the home as well as to the upstairs rooms. That’s a disappointment for me. This means some cooking air is still escaping inside the home? Well it’s already installed (not a easy install either) and I will live with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than expected!

This is the best range hood I've ever had. It was easy to install and provides plenty of power without being too loud. The over range light is perfectly bright as well. The best feature, though, is one that I didn't know it had - a timer! When we're done cooking and ready to eat, we set the timer for a few minutes to get the rest of the <garlic, fish, onion, etc...> smell out of the house. It works great, it looks great, and we love the practicality of the design. Well done!

Excellent suction power, low noise level, beautiful appliance. What's not to love? For a fraction of the price of other hoods without sacrificing functionality or looks.

Strong but noisy even when its off

This range hood has a lot of power and its not as quiet as i expected. It's heavy, you need at least 3 people to install it. I didn't like where the power cable came out in the back really close to the mounting hole on the top, best to measure correctly if not you will run into problems. My unit has a humming noise coming from the transformers in the unit, you can hear it when the unit is off. I have yet to contact hauslane to check if this is normal or if my unit is defective. We no longer have lingering smells from cooking.

First off, very well built and finished product.
Secondly the grease trap system is is well built and also nicely finished.
Lastly , Would like to see the lighting system brighter with the ability to adjust the brightness.
