I’ve been using the **HP Z2 Mini G1i Desktop Workstation** for a while now, and I’m honestly very impressed with what this small but powerful machine can do. For anyone looking for a compact workstation that still delivers serious performance, this system is definitely worth considering.
The performance is excellent thanks to the **Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 265 processor**, which boosts up to 5.3 GHz and has 20 cores and 20 threads. Everything feels extremely responsive whether I’m multitasking or running demanding applications. Paired with **32 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM**, the system handles heavy workloads smoothly without slowdowns.
For graphics, the **NVIDIA RTX™ A1000 with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM** makes a noticeable difference. I do **video editing, web design, graphic design, music production, and audio editing**, and the system handles all of those tasks very well. Rendering videos, working with large design files, and running multiple creative applications at once has been smooth and reliable.
I also use the workstation for **gaming**, and it performs better than I expected for such a compact system. While it’s designed primarily as a professional workstation, it still runs many modern games very well, which makes it a great all-around machine.
The **512 GB PCIe Gen4 SSD** is fast and keeps the system feeling snappy when launching programs or loading large project files. Connectivity is also great with multiple **USB-A and USB-C ports, DisplayPort outputs, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4**, so it’s easy to connect everything I need.
One of my favorite things about this workstation is the **mini form factor**.
