Maybe the best Hoover upright of all time

So we have a couple of older Hoovers we use, like a Dimension Supreme and a Caddy Vac. They have given us good service. I have a soft spot for that old Dimension and keep it in excellent condition. We also have a more modern Windsor brand Sebo upright. I bought our Hushtone based on the stellar review it received on Vacuum Wars. They reviewed it higher than the Winsor Sebo. Hmmm.
They were right. It is a fantastic upright vacuum and a good value, though before recent price increases it was a fantastic value. It is rugged and very well made ( solid wooden brush roll like Windtunnels had, yes ! ) and does an outstanding job of cleaning both hard floors, rugs and carpet. A longer or telescopic wand would be nice, but aside from that it is functionally excellent. The only reason I do not give the Hushtone five stars is that there is no synthetic HEPA dust bags offered for these. Paper bags only. What a shame because Hoover has some outstanding synthetic HEPA dust bags for their bagged household vacuum models. That is important to me because they keep the inside of the vacuum clean so bag changes are clean and the motor lasts longer because it is not seeing dusty air. My work around is to trim the mounting card of a genuine Hoover Style Y synthetic HEPA dust bag to fit the Hushtone bag mount and use those, but they are a little large for the Hushtone bag chamber and I have to take the time to cut down the Y bag mounting card. How about it Hoover? Make one of your excellent HEPA dust bags for the Hushtone series. If I could buy HEPA dust bags for the Hushtone I'd give it six stars !

Janitorial.

This vacuum in particular is a great addition to my business.
I’ve been working on the Janitorial business for more than 20 years and this vacuum is very easy to use,sturdy and most importantly very reliable.
My only complaint is that the plastic base cracked and the metal protection came off the bottom.
But I also understand that I been using it for more than 2 years in a daily basis without braking nor failing to get the job done.
Overall: It’s a very good commercial vacuum. 8.5/10
