The Purple Leaf 10 ft square cantilevered umbrella has exceeded our expectations The quality, flexibility and coverage have been worth the price We have not owned long enough to measure durability The base with wheels while expensive was a life saver for a couple of seniors

Clearing up info about the base

Still new, o no info about durability, Set up and deploying was way easy, was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to raise and lower My primary reason for writing this reviews to clear up the base situation With this you only get what is shown in the first photo a pole with a plate in the bottom You have our choices: buy the weighted base Separately buy their in-ground base you set n concrete, buy a mounting plate to attach to a wooden with bolts OR finally,so what I did which is engineer your own in-around situation My solution shown in photo

More than just pretty

We wanted an umbrella, not a canopy or overhang, or gazebo, for our back deck in the afternoon to keep it cool. The umbrella an be completely removed for storage is significantly less expensive, and way more versatile than our other options. ltis very well made and surprisingly easy to raise, lower, tilt, and cover, ours is over 10' and I was sure I would need help making position changes with it t is also very effective at creating cooling space in direct sun, and makes a soothing flapping noise in the breeze. Pretty with a personality and function. We are loving it.

3 years of regular use.Meets all expectations easy to install, raise and stow, stands up to breezes pretty well, except for the cover which is deteriorating badly right at 3 years of use. top portion of cover falling apart, due to UV exposure. Having to fabricate a new one.

The 10'x10' Purple Leaf umbrella provides shade all day because I can rotate it as the sun moves. The operation is very simple, my wife loves it. I mounted it on a ground base, which makes for a neat clean area on the base. Thanks Hannah for all the help.
