Writes in the raining sweat!

I am a home inspector and I have been using the No. 835 Notebook for 10 years. They are durable and work great, even when I am in the attic, and I am raining sweat onto the notebook as I am writing. (Phoenix, AZ + 115 degrees outside temp = 145 degrees attic temp).

Must Have for Back-Packing, but one request. . . .

This is an excellent product and a must have for Hiking/Back-Packing/Rafting/etc. Endures getting wet and even passed the "Leave a note in your pants-pocket through the Washer/Dryer test with an A+ grade. The only ask would be for an option to purchase with bright yellow or neon colored paper. This would be helpful in emergency/survival situations where a highly visible note needs to be left on a tree or landmark.

Made it through a wash no problem

These things are the real deal. I got them bc I am a police officer in the New Orleans metro area. It rains a lot down here. I accidentally left my note pad in my shirt and washed it. Came out the other side no issues. Ink was still on the paper and the paper didn’t even stick to each other. I’ll be a customer for life!

Crisp Graphite Lead Impressions on Paper

I use mechanical drafting pencils at .5 mm lead thickness for writing in these notebooks. The paper in these notebooks has a texture - a "tooth" - that grabs the graphite lead, and creates a clean, sharp, dark writing impression. The friction from lead on paper allows me to make clear and consistent lettering and sketches - easy to read and see. The paper holds the graphite lead so well that when wet, the pencil writing does not streak or fade, and will remain permanent.

Excellent Shirt Pocket Notebook

Muted colors (tan and green) are excellent for outdoor work or play activities where less lively colors are desired. Paper is incredible when paired with mechanical drafting pencil graphite lead at .5 mm thickness (see review on No. 935 green top spiral 3X5 notebook). Map scales and conversions placed inside the front cover are very helpful.

I am a returning customer so that should say something. The pages will stand up to Mother Nature and not wilt away or tear.. When using gel pens the ink will smear if you don't let it dry.

Perfect Diary for a ThruHike

I've been using this model Rite in the Rain notebook for keeping a daily diary of all my long distance ThruHikes. Perfect size and weight and withstands all the rigor of outdoor use.
