I am very happy with this little notebook. It was great for my 3-day Geology field trip. It started raining during the trip and I can confirm the paper is waterproof.

Easily worth the money

Utterly invaluable for any application. Impossible to overstate how durable and useful these are. I literally put a pad and pen in a washing machine and they came out completely functional and legible. I've taken these through snow, rain and mud and they keep working fine. Just get more than one so that your jealous friends aren't left out.

Compact C980 Holds a LOT!

My beige Side Bound C980 Book Cover holds a No 373 yellow, side spiral Universal notebook in the back left side pouch (it is placed spiral end to the left to decrease bulk). On the left side front inner area are four pen slots. A yellow YE13 Mechanical Clicker Pencil is in the fourth slot from the left (again to avoid bulk) leaving three pen slots free. In the back right pouch is a yellow No 1773 Outdoor Journal (Universal pattern), placed with spiral to the left of the book cover. The front inside right pouch holds a No OR35 Orange Top Spiral Notebook (Universal pattern), and an orange No 97 All-Weather Metal Pen (clicker style, pressurized ink cartridge). The pen is to the left of the notebook (reduces bulk by being offset from the pencil on the other side).
With the three different notebooks I can record and separate personal and business data. Using both the pencil and pen give me options to highlight various facts.
This is a functional, water resistant set-up that uses minimal space.

I enjoy this product greatly for the job. I do. I am a farmer and I work in various weather conditions and it is extremely dirty and rough and all your products hold up to the test, Even in Fertilizer, because I am in the springtime, a Fertilizer blender operator and it was stands all the Fertilizer dust and holds up. Great I will continue to buy your products for the foreseeable future.
