I went through 4 wire guided mowers last summer. FOUR!!! They all failed after a few uses. I was frustrated so decied to spend double to get this new robot mower. I was a bit apprehensive as it is a new product so no reviews when I bought it 3 months ago. It has exceeded expectations so far. There is one spot on my yard that is upraised due to a now gone tree that had above ground roots. It will get stuck there as the obstacle is not high enough for the sensor to detect but high enough for the front of the mower to not be able to pass over, the druve wheels keep spinning, tearing a rut, until the battery is drained. This robot has the option to change the mower direction, such a great feature, problem solved!

Mapping my yard is an exercise in futility

I've had this thing for less than 24 hours and I've tried at least five times to get it to map my yard. Every time I use auto-mapping it fails. If I manually steer it with the app's wonky on-screen joystick, it waits to tell me it failed to map the yard until I get it all the way back to the starting point and tap the end button. The software developers need to go back to the drawing board and program it to give users real-time notifications when the satellite signal is weak.
