Twinkling Lights, Controls, Excitement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh was I eagerly anticipating these app controlled LED lights. The idea of an app and being able to synch and choose the display, the way the lights flow was so interesting to me.
I was throughly chomping at the bit. I got the lights, read the pamphlet, downloaded the app and was geeking out. Excitement like a kid at Christmas eve, waiting to see the gift I had at my disposal.
Only then would I feel a sense of great disappointment. No matter how or where or what I did, I was not successful in any way linking up the app. I tried resetting the lights per the instructions. No success. I read, unplugged, played, retried. Waited a day, repeated the process. Trying to get this worked out any way thay I could. No luck.
But, I did find that when the light were on, the colors were super rich, deep and very colorful. Not a faint color. I love the appearance and the LED aspect of these lights.
I never felt the bulbs get warm. The only warm spot was the controller section that you would use to connect app by bluetooth or through wifi per the instructions. That would ge warm. Not terrible, but warm.

The lights and the string have a great connector to screw in additional lights easily and not your standard male, female plug, allowing for a more water tight seal. Now, no guarantees that water couldn't get in there, but these screw connectors make it less of a possibility.
I would have been over the moon had I been able to get the app working and to be able to choose from waves, fades and the oodles of choices that the book displayed.
But, I cannot take away from the light and the colors from the bulbs. That, is fantastic.
