Returned it. Known issue of body fat accuracy

Very disappointed. I have been a Garmin fan for many years as a runner, willing to pay extra $ for the brand name and accuracy. Tried this scale for a week, body fat % was +25% off, fluctuated for no obvious reasons. Basically useless on both accuracy and trending.
I got on Garmin forum for help. Apparently this issue has been brought up for 8+ months. Garmin seems to use algorithm of average data based on gander, age and fitness level. So if you are not the average shape, data can be widely off. Garmin customer services reply was rather pointless. Boiling complains about this product should be simply discontinued.

Bought this to seamlessly synch my body comp data with Garmin Connect and TrainingPeaks.
Wildly inaccurate BF and muscle mass %'s compared to products 1/4 the cost (i.e: RENPHO)
Had me at 28% BF (obese) even though all my abs are visible? I own a Forerunner 955, Edge 830, and HR Pro, this is the only Garmin product i've owned that left me disappointed.
Using my original RENPHO scale and the fitnesssyncer app until Garmin figures this out.

The only reason to buy this scale is for the convenience of linking multiple users to the Garmin/Connect app. It gives the same information as the crappy bathroom scale I bought 40 years ago, along with a lot of wildly inaccurate body composition measurements. It is certainly not worth the amount I paid and I couldn't return it either to Best Buy or Garmin. Upon checking user fora, I found that this has always been a problem and Garmin has done nothing to fix it. Save your money; buy a simple scale and enter your weight manually.
