I am very pleased with the Alpha 200 Plus, I wish I could find a nice case for it like I had for the Alpha 100. I have attached a picture of the case.

BIg Improvement

I've bean using Garmin tracking devices since the Astro 220 and DC40s. The Alpha 100 was a good device, and amazingly long-lasting technology, but the 200 Plus is a definite improvement. It's a lot more straightforward and easy to set up, and more intuitive to use.
I only have two real criticisms. One is that the three training buttons are dead feeling--there's very little tactile feedback that you're actually pushing a button. They barely move at all and there is no "click". The 100 is better in this respect.
The other is that I'd like a way to lock the outside buttons without also locking the training buttons.
Other than those two things I'm happy with it. It tracks well and the user interface much better.

Great screen updates and easier to input dogs and hold the data for them. I can actually see the screen now with my sunglasses on. Love it!

Please explain to new owners that their new Alpha 200+ may not work correctly - although it is new the software may be obsolete and will have to be updated. Also, please explain how to update a collar that is recharged with 120v. Power and does not have the ability to connect to a computer. And the computer available is a Mac.
