one of the most crisp and clear speakers I have heard for so small. Granted this is not a hold in your hands small device but the clarity rivals large speakers and it is very portable. I Loved this speaker so much I purchased one for my music buff son in law for Christmas and will be ordering another one in the summer for the cabin!!

Loud but Lacking Bass Authority

The Harman Kardon Onyx 8 delivers ample volume and an elegant design, yet its acoustic performance falls short of expectations for a speaker of this scale. While it outperforms the Bose SoundLink in loudness due to its significantly larger form factor, the low-frequency response lacks the depth and weight one would reasonably anticipate from such a substantial unit. The bass feels restrained rather than immersive, creating a noticeable gap between its physical presence and its sonic authority. For listeners seeking rich, resonant low end, the Onyx 8 may not meet the benchmark set by far smaller competitors.

Amazing speakers!! I have Harman speakers in my Suburu. I have always loved Harman products. Best bang for your buck! I have 2 linked and sounds better with the two. Opposed to just one!

Power cord interface

For the discounted price, it's a good speaker.
Big problem is with the power cord interface with the machine. It's loose and won't hold into the machine to charge.
