Worked out of box but had intermittent issues with SD card in printer but after firmware update issue is gone ... Having on and off issues with stringing but could be moisture in filament as I do hear popping when coming through nozzle. Love Auto leveling and the location notches in build plate wish all my printers had this feature, overall a great printer for projects and a first time user which is why I gave it to my grandson as a present at 13 years old he hade no trouble figuring out how to use it. Looking forward to seeing accessories for this printer available like a filament run-out detection upgrade or just spare build plates.

Excellent upgrade from my Ender 3 v2. After owning and using the v2 on a regular basis, I upgraded to the v3 for a few key reasons: faster printing, more capability, and easier to use. My v2 prints extremely well for its price-point, but is slow and requires regular tuning for optimal prints. I do not use a glue-stick to aid the prints in sticking, but regular cleaning, bed leveling, and z-offsetting do yield great results. This process is made so much easier with the v3. I still do not need a glue-stick, but have eliminated the time spent leveling the bed and setting the z-offset, as the v3 does it for me. The upgraded chassis on the v3 also seems to stay in calibration better than the v2 did. I printed a 3D Benchy as my first task and compared it with my v2 which I had printing simultaneously. Not only did the v3 cut the printing time in half, the quality was every bit as good, if not better, than the v2. After a few prints I had a couple that didn’t want to seem to stick to the bed. I simply recleaned the bed and ran the auto-level. It immediately started printing perfectly again. I’m now very confident in trying to print PETG now, and looking forward to giving TPU a try. All-in-all, this made for an excellent upgrade and addition to my 3D printing capabilities. I also believe this would have been an excellent “first time” machine for someone just getting into the 3D printing space. Well done, Creality, keep up the great work.

easy to assemble, just adjust straps and eccentrics.
The automatic leveling works well, you just have to have the bed clean to avoid adhesion problems
excellent print quality with a speed of 180mm

I LOVE my ender 3 v3 se! I am brand new to 3d printing, with slight messing around with a v2 a couple years ago, and this is a fantastic starter printer, I got it for Christmas to use for my business. The auto leveling feature was a big selling point for me. The set up was super simple and easy. We took it to my parents' house for Christmas and had to dissemble to go back home and it was a super easy process.

Great experience at all. As a low budget printer it has its limitations, but it exceeded my expectations. Printing quality and speed are fantastic under the price, not to mention the steel frame for resistance and stability. Just loved it.

This is an update on the review I posted a few days ago. I am TOTALLY delighted with my purchase! Now that it is working, it is everything I hoped it would be! As I said before, unboxing and building was simple and quick. AND, once I got the new motherboard installed (which was also easy peasy), getting it going was a snap. I have printed 8 rooms of terrain for the Nemesis boardgame and 1 miniature ork and its base. The rooms are wonderful with more detail than I imagined. My brother asked me to try printing a miniature and it turned out better than I hoped (since it was my first try). The photos are of the first print, all 8 rooms printed so far and the mini ork. It's been printing for over 80 hours without a glitch. I'm onto my second spool of filament and really, really happy with my new hobby.

Previously I have been using the Ender 3 V2. It took me about a week to get comfortable with leveling it and after a couple months I got it dialed in so the prints were good even after 4-5 months of not needing to be leveled. I killed the first one after two years of hard use. The only down time for it was if it finished printing at night. I then purchased a new one at the start of 2023. I continued with my printing. When I learned of the new V3 I was intrigued. When I saw the upgrades in the new unit I immediately ordered the unit. It was a good $100 cheaper then the previous V2 printers. The double z axis, auto leveling, and the direct feed are all very nice new features. The setup was very quick. 10 -15 minutes. Not the hour+ for the Ender 3 V2. I ran the level program and got the filament installed. Printed the benchie and I was off. First 10 prints stuck to the bed very nicely,. Now I do have to use a little Elmer's glue stick but it still is running very nice. As good as prints were with the V2 the V3 is that much better with the quality. I recommend this printer very highly as your first or even replacement..
