My go-to favorite canner of all time

I started canning with a small, traditional presto before upgrading to an All American and then I bought this last year after a long-time canner recommended it to me. I was not expecting to love it, but I do. It has even made water bath canning easy (which I never enjoyed because I felt like I had to babysit the canner the whole time). I’ve run at least 25-30 loads of various things from fruit, beans, meat, and whole soup recipes through this workhorse and I reach for it first over my All-American every time now. PROS: It’s QUIET. No more having to listen to the regulator jiggle for hours (my personal favorite aspect as I can meat and beans mostly, which require longer processing times), I don’t have to babysit it and can rely on it beeping at me so no more forgetting timing for venting or processing. I can also double stack wide mouth quarts with pints on top (maybe this is a rebel canning approach but it works although you can only have 5-6 jars on top or the lid won’t go on). It’s also much lighter than my AA which weights 25ish lbs empty and is too heavy to move once loaded - not the case with this electric presto! Plus, I can can wherever is convenient and not be tied to my stove or have my stove taken up by a giant canner. I don’t mind not having the removable inner pot - I do NOT want non-stick coatings anywhere near my food, so the fact that this canner DOESN’T have that is a big pro compared to the other electric presto models. CONS: You can’t double stack quarts or regular mouth jars unless you’re only using pints - I wish it was just a teeny bit taller to allow this option comfortably, it also does take a while to cool down after the “cooling” cycle ends (but this is the same thing with my AA canner so not really a con). Overall, I love having the option of being able to preserve food without taking up space on my stove and would HIGHLY recommend the electric canner even over my All American!

I bought 2 because I’m a big canner. I’ve used a weighted gage canner for over 50 years and this new electric pressure canner seems foolproof. I’ve used the pressure canning method for tomatoes and the boiling water bath method for relish both methods worked like a charm.

Just got this yesterday and canned green beans. It was so easy and very happy with purchase. Looking forward to canning so much more. Easy to use, read the manual and followed directions. Loved that I did not have to babysit it and monitor like you do on the stove top.

Love my electric 23qt pressure canner - stoked!

Awesome machine, works perfectly. Glad I went with the 23qt electric version option, was able to can tuna outside easily, the guide walks you through it instantly, was my first time and after 1 batch I already thought I was a pro thanks to the support documents, also the youtube video helped me visually walk through it while I was waiting for it to be shipped to me. Made a batch of 47 half of a half pint jars (the super small 4oz ones), all of them came out perfect. Very important to have new tops/lids every time for 100% success.

This is a massive piece of equipment, but it did not disappoint. The screen prompts you through all of the steps to pressure canning, and keeps your kitchen cooler than using the stove. I could not believe how much this streamlined my process!
It sat in our kitchen table for over a week, and knowing how easy it was to get food prepped an in the canner? It encouraged me to do one more batch…and pretty soon our pantry was fuller than it has been in years! The folks at our local farm stand saw me every few days taking advantage of the inexpensive and super fresh produce that we will enjoy all winter long.
It’s a large piece of equipment, so storing it is going to take some rearranging, but that is an easy challenge to accept. My only regret is not buying it sooner.
