Exactly what I need for my new purchased Mac.
Purchased this mostly because of a shorter cable.
Easy to connect to my existing external HD as it already has a cable in a good length.

From new (technology) to old

This piece of equipment is prefect to transform the new USB-C port to the older type used by most people (for now). Somehow the new PC and other electronic products decided to install only one or two "normal" USB ports to leave place for the new USB-C, which is useless for most people (for now).
My new laptop has 2 "normal" USB ports which are occupied by the backup hard-drive and the mouse. That's why I need this USB-C to USB-3 adapter for something else.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs to be partially connected to work. All the way connected it won’t transit data
