Great Soundbar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gaming and movie watching have been a whole new experience for us with the Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Rear Surround Speakers. The main soundbar has a nice modern design, but the wire was short in my opinion. I had to shift the soundbar slightly to reach the outlet so it looks slightly misaligned with my TV but I could use an extension cord to fix that issue. You can feel the bass while watching movies or playing video games. The subwoofer is big but it fits well in the room so it’s not noticeable. The Bluetooth capability allowed us to connect our phone to the speakers to play music from our phone. Setting up the TV was very easy as well! Transforming Our Home Entertainment

The sleek design fit seamlessly into our living room, and the wireless setup was hassle-free.
The first movie we watched blew us away. Dolby Atmos technology created a 3D soundscape, making us feel like we were in the middle of the action. The rear speakers added depth, and the sound quality was exceptional, whether we were watching movies, sports, or listening to music. The kids were captivated by the immersive experience, and my husband, an audiophile, appreciated the high-quality audio.
The LG Soundbar S80TR has made watching TV a truly enjoyable family event. If you're looking to upgrade your home audio system, I highly recommend it.

Theater Like Experience!

Sound system is amazing and wow is it loud and immersive! My sister wants one for her new apartment now!

LG Soundbar S80TR Review

One of the key features I absolutely love is that it's wireless, meaning fewer cables to deal with. You just power it up, and the sound transmits seamlessly without losing quality.
The app is another highlight—it's incredibly easy to use. I often switch between Cinema Mode and Music Mode depending on whether I’m watching a movie or listening to music, and it’s super convenient.
I’m not the type of person who leaves reviews often, but this product truly deserves it. I hope this helps you with your next purchase—it’s worth every penny!

Poor Documentation

So so so frustrated! The tiny holes on the back/bottom of the surround speakers are _WAY_ too small for any of the 'universal' speaker stand mounts/screws and NO WHERE does it say in the manual which screws are used. The internet/Best Buy reviews say that an M4 screw is correct but that is WAY too big. Which screws/stands actually screw into these speakers so I can buy a stand for them?

Good but lacks instructions

Just got my S80 setup and everything is ok but there are no instructions on if you can adjust speakers individuallor not. LG lacks instructions and it hooks to their LGthinQ app and nothing works. LG support is crap.

Poor Bass/Low End Performance

I purchased this soundbar setup in late 2024. It seems like it would be great, and the hardware is capable; however, LG has crippled this system with poor bass and low-end performance from the subwoofer. When you perform the AI Room Calibration, you can hear the full power of the subwoofer; however, that is the ONLY time you will hear any kind of decent sound from the subwoofer.
I have since replaced the S80TR with another product with proper bass and low-end performance from the subwoofer of that system.
I did reach out to LG in an attempt to try and salvage my ownership of the S80TR; however, there was no help or real interest in assisting me by anyone at LG. The most I received was a canned email that indicated they did not even understand or pay attention to what I was attempting to bring to their attention, and it was sent from a donotreply@lg email address, which meant I couldn't even respond.
Unfortunately, this sealed the deal on the S80TR being replaced by another product that performs properly. The LG S80TR could easily be a really good audio system with the simple firmware/programming fixes to the bass and low end performance in the subwoofer, and or the LG ThinQ App being updated to give users more manual control over the sound performance.
