Great laptop for the price!

Great laptop for the price!

It runs on the Chrome OS operating system and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It comes with a no-glare screen and is Energy Star certified.

Backlight keyboard is fantastic! Only issue is that it's not adjustable.
10 hours of battery life unless you are multitasking.

Cons:
Speakers are ok for video calls, but rather use my headphones when I am watching movies.

Trackpad is plastic, not as responsive as I would like, but I just use a bluetooth mouse and it works great.
HD Display was great, the only issue I have is when I'm watching a movie and there are dark scenes it's hard to see.
Portable chassis with 180° hinge for easy sharing anywhere, but wish the chassis wasn't plastic I can see it getting worn out easily. That's probably why it's so lightweight.
Overall, this is a fantastic laptop for my needs. Even the cons that I listed aren't really a con, per say...just my individual preference. I would recommend purchasing it.

Easy to use out of the box! Great for travelling on the go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this computer. I needed something that was small that I could take with me to class every day and just take notes. This is not a work horse computer by any means. This is a computer that I would use to surf the internet type up basic documents and watch Netflix or TV. After updating the apps and downloading Hulu Netflix and some of the other basic apps that you probably want like YouTube etc between the apps and the operating system. It takes up 30 to 40 GB of the computer space and I think there’s only 125 total gigabytes on the computer, so not a lot of storage space to work with, but again it is a chrome book, so storage space is probably not what you’re looking for. Just keep that in mind when you’re buying this computer. Otherwise, I really like the computer. It was super easy to set up and I’m really enjoying using it. I am comparing this to my regular computer, which is a Dell precision, 5750. I am a graduate student and I regularly use my computer to do research, writing papers, presentations, watching TV, and administrative task that I have to take care of.

Limited access to necessary functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is basically a functional web browser. Google Play is disabled on this model making it impossible to access almost anything that you can’t find directly on Google Chrome. If I were to purchase another Asus computer in the future, it surely wouldn’t be a Chromebook.

Awesome Computer & Touchscreen

The touch screen is very responsive and is smudge-free which I love. Built in camera is high def and display quality is great. For the price, I would absolutely recommend this laptop & would happily buy another one.
