No Better Than My 12 Year Old, Cheap Mattress

Had an old, pillowtop mattress that I had purchased at a discount store. Over the years, the memory foam had depressions, so I bought a mattress topper and a mattress pad. Those worked pretty well, and the bed was pretty comfortable. This year, I moved, so I decided not to move the old mattress with me and selected the GhostBed Mattress King. It was delivered without issue. The box was quite heavy, and moving it to the bedroom, opening it, and setting the mattress up on my box springs was a bit challenging. After opening the plastic, the mattress opened quickly. The mattress is nice and attractive. It doesn't feel too firm. But, when lying on it, the mattress does not depress around me to provide support, as indicated in the advertisements. I feel like I am lying on top of the mattress with only points being supported. I am a side sleeper and a very large person (300 lb), so it's not an issue of not weighing enough. After about a week of sleeping on the mattress, it was not comfortable, and my back was achy. I don't normally have any back pain. After reading the instructions again, GhostBed suggests adding a mattress pad. So, I put my mattress pad on it, and I've been sleeping with it on for about a month now. It helps, but it's disappointing that the bed needs a mattress pad to make it more comfortable. I've finally added the mattress topper, along with the mattress pad, and the bed is finally comfortable enough to sleep soundly. I woke today with no back pain. All in all, I've spent a lot of money on a new mattress that doesn't work any better than my old, cheap mattress. I guess I was due for a new mattress, anyway. It's disappointing, and I've considered returning it and trying a different brand, but I'm not sure what brand would be any better.

HAD A LITTLE MIX UP WHEN PURCHASING AND SHIPPING BUT WAS WORKED OUT AND ENJOYING THE BED SO FAR.

Better than the rest

I'm a previous owner of both Casper and Cocoon By Sealy mattresses. I'm happy to say that the GhostBed isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The materials are of higher quality and density than those of its competitors and the sleep feel is fantastic. Supportive with a little sink and bounce that makes me wanna nap any chance I get. You won't be disappointed.

No regrets with this purchase

I have tolerated back pain from our previous, very expensive mattress for over 10 years. I woke up with back pains the first morning after buying it. I was reluctant to buy a Ghostbed mattress because I figured if was cheaper than the other mattresses we were looking at, it had to be inferior. When we got the mattress, I was worried because it was much firmer than I anticipated. However, the first night on the Ghostbed was the best that I have had in a very long time. We have now had the mattress for about 2 months, and I have not had ANY back pain, nor hip pain. I did worry my wife would not like it, but she has also been very happy with it. We have been very happy with it.

After having the bed for a about a month and a half … I can say I don’t like the bed. I think the bed is too firm.

Buying process easy, like the bed!

I gave it 4 stars because the buying process was easy. The bed seems very nice. As most other reviews said, it is pretty firm, therefore I never find myself longing to stay in it all day like I have in some nice hotel beds. I don't have any complaints about it, but if you are looking for a big comfy bed to dream about coming home to, this is not it!

You WILL Love This Mattress

We have had our GhostBed Queen Mattress for 2 weeks as of this review. I purchased the GhostBed after researching MANY other mattresses and being very close to purchasing a different brand. My wife suggested I look into GhostBed. Within 2 days of receiving our mattress, the back problems and foot pain that inhad been experiencing for the past 2 years were GONE. Since then I have noticed that I am sleeping more soundly and waking up feeling more rested. You will absolutely not be disappointed.

What a surprise!

We upgraded to a king bed. Had absolutely no problems with the setup. And the first night sleep..... I didn't want to get up the next morning. It was also the first time in years that I didn't wake up with my back and hips hurting. Now I have to make myself get up! What an unexpected, truly wonderful surprise. We made the right choice!!!!
