A podcast that I listen to is sponsored by GhostBed and they are always talking about how great their beds are. I just figured they were saying that because they were a sponsor, I was wrong. My bed at the time was really doing a number on my wife and I back so we needed a new bed. I took a chance and got a GhostBed. There first night my back didn't hurt, but it didn't seem to be that comfortable. All I needed to do was be patient because after 2-3 nights the bed started to become so comfortable. Now they are the best night sleep I have had in a really long time.
I'm a very light sleeper which causes me insomnia. I use my Fitbit to track my sleep so I can figure out what changes to my lifestyle work best. So far I can confidently say this has been a big upgrade to my life, I seldom wake up in the night now, and only very briefly. I also do not develop back or hip pain, which was only a problem before if I over slept.
Point of reference, I'm a woman, 5'8" and 140lb
Prior to this, I had been using an Amerisleep AS2, which was all right, but too firm for me. The Ghostbed is just right, and less expensive too.
It keeps me pretty cool at night, and my dog doesn't disturb my sleep because it isolates movement pretty well. It hasn't felt the most comfortable ever, but that's likely because this is my first time sleeping in a bed of this type and I haven't gotten accustomed to it.
The shipping and set up was easy but the bed is hard as a rock. We’ve used it for a few weeks now. Restless sleep and sore back everyday. Last night I slept on the couch just to get a good night sleep. We hoped we would get used to the stiffness after a couple weeks but it is still way too hard.
I didn’t know what I was missing! I used to wake up a lot during the night with aches in my hip and back from side sleeping, now with the Ghostbed I still get up, though not as frequently, but no pain and I can now fall back asleep with no problem! I haven’t slept this well ever!!! Best investment I’ve made is this bed.
