My ghost bed so far

Bought the bed in February and my lower back stays hurting. My husband says he sleeps better now that it took like almost a mth to break in. As a veteran, I slept in more comfortable places during my deployment! A cot was softer, didn’t think that was possible! Still way too hard for me, now I’m stuck with a bed unless I want to pay to ship it back and wait for a refund.
I can’t say this is the best bed out there, but it’s definitey at the top end for people on a budget. It’s firm enough to support your back, but also soft enough to contiur to your body while you sleep. Great bed for side and back sleepers, as I am both. Ghost Bed just needs to be careful how they advertise the sleep trial because it’s a little deceiving unless you read the details.
We had a nine-plus year old memory foam mattress which was very hot and hard to move about on. After searching on-line reviews, reading Consumer Reports, and knowing my husband wanted a very firm bed we decided on Ghostbed. I ordered on Tuesday evening and it arrived Thursday morning, so quickly I was amazed. We have been sleeping on it for two weeks and it is everything we hoped for, comfortable for both of us, cool, and easy to move around on. My husband says it is nice to have a bed we can sleep on instead of sleep in. The price was good and we also got two free pillows. We are very satisfied.
Sorry that we got the twins, should have just gotten the king. Separate even though they said they wouldn't it was a tight fit, and hard to make the sheets in the middle to stay in place.
We researched mattresses with Consumer Reports and then decided to take the "risk" of ordering on-line instead of visiting mattress stores (which always felt a little goofy lying on beds in a store). Ordering process was dead easy, bed and pillows arrived in two shipments, unpacking was simple (do it on the mattress base) and we gave the mattress about 14 hours before sleeping on it. It's well constructed and finished. First impression is that it's a lot firmer than I expected. It's not like lying and sinking into memory foam. The latex top causes you to sink slowly and slightly as you lie in the bed so that your spine remains flat. They say that's a good thing and after a month I'm getting a great night's sleep.
The mattress is a bit more stiff than I initially thought it would be. However, I think this is probably due to fact that it's a foam mattress, so there's more support than I had grown accustomed to with my previous, beyond dead mattress that literally had mountains and valleys in it. However, I'm currently pregnant, so I'm a lot more sensitive (and limited in potential sleeping positions) than I normally am. I imagine sleeping on your back with this mattress is close to heaven.
My husband and I had no issue with the mattress smelling as some reviews noted, but we also gave it a full 24 hours to expand and come into its own.
I did not find it as heavy as some people did, and I managed to set it up on my own. Yes, I took it out of the box and set it up while pregnant. I did not, however, have to drag it up any stairs, and I did notice the next day or so that my back was telling me that I should have asked for help. I only want people to know that it is possible for a petite woman to set-up, even if that's not the best idea.
As others have noted, it does take about a week for your body to get used to the new mattress. Once you've adjusted to your whole body actually getting support, though, you should sleep quite well.
Over all, we are very pleased with this mattress, and it's hard to beat the price for the quality! We've been recommending it to friends and family, and it's definitely a good option for those wanting a supportive, foam mattress on a budget!
