Easy set up but stiffer than advertised!

They say this bed is like a 7 on the stiffness, it is more like a 9. I am a 6'4" 290lbs guy and I barely sink into this mattress. I may sink in an inch or two at the most. My wife is 5'1" and small framed and she doesn't sink in the mattress at all, she has to put a mattress pad on her side for comfort. This may be returned at the end of our sleep trial. Hoping for the best but right now it isn't looking good. The one thing positive I can say so far is that with this mattress there are ZERO pressure points. With a typical mattress I could feel where the springs were, this would hit certain areas of my back, hips, shoulders etc. with this mattress there are no areas like that, your weight seems to be evenly distributed. I am still waiting for that one great nights sleep, I am being very hopeful as the amount of money I paid for this mattress has me crossing my fingers!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my Ghost Bed for a little over a month now. It took about 4 days for my back to adjust to sleeping on a bed after being on a recliner to sleep for months (almost a year). From day 1 I was able to lay down on my flat on my back or even on my stomach and not lose the feeling in my leg. It's done a better job of letting me sleep and actually feel rested when I wake up more than anything that the VA has done for me. I plan to keep it.

Comfortable, but a little too firm

We've had the bed now for almost two months. We're both pretty happy but wish that it was a little softer. Thinking about checking out some other brands.

Best Night's Sleep!

My wife and I finally decided to replace our old spring mattress after we had to get rid of our boxspring when it wouldn't fit around a tight corner in a stairwell. Faced with the prospect of purchasing a new style of bed frame just for our old mattress that wasn't comfortable even after many mattress toppers and quilted mattress pads, we decided to make the plunge and invest in a mattress we didn't hate.
After polling a number of friends who have purchased beds online, we figured out the things people didn't like and what to avoid. Researching different mattress reviews, we decided on the ghostbed because of cool sleeping, a firmer feel that you wouldn't sink into, and a fair amount of edge support and depth, despite being a foam mattress.
Despite being foam, you really do not sink into the top of this mattress like traditional memory foam. The top layer is both cooling as advertised, and surprisingly supportive and even a bit bouncy. Despite initially finding the top a bit firm for my taste (although perfect in firmness for my wife's taste), as a side sleeper, my days of waking up stiff and with hip pain are gone. I've never fallen asleep so quickly and stayed asleep so well.

We have been sleeping on the king with 3 ghost pillows for 3 weeks now. I have not slept better in my life! I am so glad we decided to go with ghost bed over the other competition, for the price the quality is unmatched!
