My wife and I bought this just around Thanksgiving and finally, the snow has arrived. So today, I got to use this snowblower. I have to say that what lead us to this product was our purchase of our Greenworks 21" self propelled Lawnmower. Knowing that the batteries from our mower would fit this snowblower did help our decision a bit.
A note about shipping, we had it shipped to our home, and all I can say is WOW! We got it very quickly (about 4 days), and it was packed like a tank. They built a steel frame around the snowblower with steel tracks to keep the snowblower from any possible movement. That was impressive.
So today (12/22/2022) we so far have gotten about 4 inches of very fine tightly packed snow with some drifting as well. It cut through all snow with no issues whatsoever. It does take a little getting used to the controls, but that doesn't take long. I didn't have a need for the zero turn feature yet but tried it and it works great. Just a tip that you should practice with this snowblower using all of the features to make sure you don't get in a jam or run into something. When trying out the zero turn feature in the road, you will go where it goes, like it or not! In other words, plenty of power so hang on...
I truly was able to blow snow 50 feet easy. If was very windy, gusting up to 45 MPH, and I was blowing into the wind and of course snow will blow back, but when I needed it, I increased the auger speed and it easily pushed through the wind.
The controls are easy to use once you get used to them. It is a little cumbersome to have to hit the power button quite often after turning off the auger, but it's not a big deal, just have to get used to it. In the blowing snow, I had trouble seeing which lights I had on, so I need to get used to setting it the way I want, then leaving it. Found out later I had lights on when I didn't need them, but of course, my fault. Turning the discharge chute and adjusting the angle worked great too. It was about 10 degrees and in the past, these controls would freeze and get stuck. I didn't have anything have an issue with the cold and wind at all.
Regarding battery usage, since this was my first time using this, I did quite a bit of playing and trying different drive and auger speeds. I was out close to an hour and I had about 25% battery left. And I only had two batteries in. I switched to my lawn mower battery which didn't last anywhere near as long which of course is totally expected. The batteries also charged fairly quickly at 20% as well. Seems it was around 30 minutes or so.
I only have one minor complaint, which is with the scraper plate. It worked great at scraping, but our driveway is uphill, and has some uneven sections where the concrete has either sunk a little or raised a little. A few times since the scraper is so low, it can hit these lips in the concrete causing me to abruptly stop and have to back up. After a little usage, I just had to make sure to remember to push down slightly on the handles to cause it to lift a little to ensure I didn't hit anything. It would be cool if this was somehow adjustable to allow enough space for known height differences. Other than that, I really like this snowblower a lot.
So of course this is 1 usage, but so far, this is a great tool. Looking forward to what others say as well. I'll post more updates once I do more in the days ahead.

Stalls consistently under modest conditions, just 2” of dry snow, with forward movement at a snails pace. Product is on the way back to the retailer.

Then go back and get the second layer. Go slow, and don’t try and take on the full width of the machine with snow. Works great in powder, difficult to use on ice

Bought this a year ago and, as luck would have it, it never snowed the rest of the season. This year, used it for the 3 car driveway and sidewalks and it was great for first day snow. The next day, when the snow hardened to ice, it required multiple times to clear. Would highly recommend ordering the plastic sweeping paddle as it will likely break on ice.

These units are intended for use with snow/heavy snow and ice underneath can become an issue as ice is more solid/heavier than snow. We recommend that you blow as much snow as possible to clear a majority and then apply salt / de-icer to help break down some of the ice for easier clearing.

A toy with bad skid plates

A bit of a let-down. I'd hoped this would match the power of my spare [REDACTED-CAN NOT MENTION ANY COMPETITOR] plug-in snowblower (This 80v Greenworks had maybe 1/2 of the power of [COMPETITOR] corded product).
The real disappointment is a skid plate *wore out* after only two seasons of light use, causing it to "stick" to the driveway. This didn't even get much use as it's a secondary snow removal machine (primary is a normal 2-stage gas)

As mentioned in other reviews our scraper at the bottom broke. I use the snowblower probably 10 times per year, and just started our third season with it. It is somewhat surprising that the quality for such a part that touches ice, road and stones breaks so quickly… anyways, after calling the overseas call center the part got replaced under the warranty as we were just shy off 24 months it seems. Not sure if I would opt for this model again. It works well for fresh powder snow, gets to its limits when snow gets wetter and/or above 10 inches…

Really bad

I haven't got to use this expensive snowblower yet. The assembly design and instructions are among the worst of any product I've ever purchased. I read reviews about the flawed assembly design and instructions before I purchased, but I figured I could navigate with eyes wide open. Not the case... I now need to purchase new parts and bolts due to this horrible assembly design. Greenworks customer service is non-existent. Please do not purchase this product.

I got this blower for my mother's land which is close to 2 acres. Works excellent and meets the needs for clearing the leaves and tidying everything up!! It is heavier than what I'm used to but no biggie!! The battery lasts a good 30 minutes on the highest turbo setting!! I wished it last longer!! The battery does charge fast which is approximately 24 minutes..
It is very powerful, cleaned up the yard good and made Mom happy!! This 1st time user for Green works is happy!!
