Handles the snow quite well, but only used on 5 inches of fluffy snow.

It's quiet compare to gas and much easier to start.
I would like the chute to rotate at least 240 degrees to handle corners better. I now have to go back and clean up what it throws to the sides of the driveway or walk-way to the street.
240 degrees would also help to not blow snow directly up-wind.
I would like the lights to come on only when activated.
The halogen lamp on my gas snow blower doesn't collect as much snow, and what it does collect, melts. Not so for the LEDs on the Greenworks unit. I haven't used it a night yet so I wish the LEDs were separately controlled - not related to turning the unit on. (I don't need lights during the day, and I assume they consume more battery.)
It will take some getting used to because when you let go of both handle controls it shuts down, and the controls are opposite hands from my gas model.
The shave plate gets right down to the concrete, but that means it also stops if the next section of concrete is raised a bit (like each side-walk section). It should work okay on blacktop.
It is a lot lighter and more maneuverable than my Craftsman gas snow blower.
My wife is even interested in using it.

Easy to Install, Material needs to be more durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After barely 5 uses shoveling snow, the battery decided that it has had enough I plugged in my battery today and this new battery started to flash red my six-year-old green works 80 V 4.0ah battery still works fine, but the new battery that came with that snowblower does not work anymore.

In colder weather, batteries may temporarily indicate a charging issue. When the battery is inserted into the charger and the status LED blinks red, we recommend removing the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinserting it. If the status LED blinks green, the battery is properly charging. If the LED is still blinking red, remove the battery and unplug the charger for 1 minute. After 1 minute, plug in the charger and reinsert the battery. If the LED blinks green, the battery is charging properly. Great with larger batteries!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this a few years now, it works well for most of the conditions we get in central NY. But it was not that great for the first year. The 5 amp hour batteries are only OK in really deep snow. I eventually snags a pair of the 8 ah batteries, now it works really well. Wish I had bought more of the large batteries, but this is the only tool that can fit them. The 5 ah work great in the mower, and in lower amounts of snow.
I have used this in snow deeper than the bucket, was a dry snow so it didn't really slow me down. And plenty of throw for my small driveway.
I gave this 4 stars because a third 5 ah battery would have made this a 5 star, or a pair of the bigger 8 ah would have done the same. Is it as strong as a gas thrower? No. Will it run as long as a gas thrower? Definitely not since a large gas can will keep you going most of the day. But you won't smell like exhaust all day at work, and it's quiet enough that it won't wreck your hearing, two very big plusses for me. For the size of my driveway, I won't go back to gas.

I had to drill out the old assembly shaft to remove the old bearings and shaft locks. Concerned about the long term support from Greenworks in relation to the products the sell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own several greenworks products and was happy to order this one. It works well. batteries adequate for smaller jobs. Should come with three batteries instead of two as there are three spaces for batteries. Directions to assemble were very small print and not clear. I was able to assemble in about an hour alone. I will need to purchase an additional battery. Also, I thought the device would run on one battery while the other was charging allowing for "continuous" use. It was not clear that you need at least both to run it for any length of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought this snowblower as a replacement for a two-stroke blower that died on me. It arrived on time without damage and took about 30 minutes to assemble. I got my first chance to try it out on 3” of snow today. It worked like a charm. I did my driveway, patio, two paths around my house, and cut back two feet of the crud piled up by the street plows along a 50’ strip using barely a half charge of the batteries. It went through the hardened plow crud like butter. I had no issues with clogging despite the snow’s being wet. (I did spray all the working surfaces and chute with WD-40 before starting.) This machine is a vast improvement over the noisy, hard to start two-stroke that it replaces. I enjoy its gentle hum and not having to wear hearing protection. We are supposed to get up to a foot of snow this weekend - bring it on!
