Blade broke on the first use.

Ordered two replacement blades last year for this season. The blade broke on the first use. The snow was not very thick and not very icy. Poor quality and poor design as others have noted. Need something more durable like metal!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Severe Buyer's Remorse

I was such a fool to believe this could perform on par with a gas snowblower! For the amount I had to spend on batteries for continuous use I could have bought a decent gas snowblower that would be MUCH MORE CONVENIENT to use!!!
The Good:
- Works well but only in ideal snow conditions
- It does have decent throwing power for "Ideal Snow"
- It maneuvers easily
- Quiet
- Don't have to mess with Gas & Oil

The BAD!!
- Will not last long in heavy snow on supplied batteries
-- There are three battery slots with two included 5Ahr batteries
- Clogs up easily in many snow conditions - wet or heavy
- Batteries will not start charging if they are too warm from use
- Batteries are VERY HEAVY to lug around. I keep my batteries inside in the winter to keep them warm.
I've had this Snow Blower for just over a year. Last year we didn't get much snow so this thing did not get much of a test.
*This year, just after Thanksgiving, we got two days of 12"+ each day. The first day, I was only able to make three full passes of my driveway before the batteries died. I was using two 5Ahr & one 4Ahr battery.
NOTE: Do not push the batteries until they are fully empty. They will overheat and the charger won't work until they cool down.
* On a more recent snow, this snowblower was plugging up constantly. I could not even do a half pass on my driveway without stopping to scrape out the snow. I had thought it would be okay since the temperature was in the upper 20's. Really frustrating since many gas snowblowers in the neighborhood were having no problem on the same day.
- I was forced to buy a total of NINE batteries so I could use this thing continuously without having to wait for batteries to recharge.
- Will not last long in heavy snow on supplied batteries

Yes, even a two-stage snow thrower can clog with wet snow, especially if it's heavy and clumping together; while two-stage snow blowers generally handle snow better than single-stage models, wet snow can still cause clogs due to its tendency to stick and build up within the machine's components, particularly in the chute and auger area.
Key points to remember about wet snow and two-stage snow throwers. Wet snow has a higher moisture content, making it more likely to clump and stick together, leading to potential clogs in the chute and auger of a two-stage snow blower. Clearing speed matters and moving too slowly while blowing wet snow can allow more time for the snow to clump and clog the machine. For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. Regularly applying a non-stick spray to the auger and chute can help prevent snow from sticking and reduce the likelihood of clogs. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience.
We do advise at least an 80V 5.0Ah battery as the minimum for optimal performance and runtime. Ensure the batteries are charged 100%. If each battery has a different charge state, the run-time of the machine is subject to the lowest powered battery (For example: one battery is charged 100%, and the other is charged 50%, the unit will only run until the 50% battery is depleted). When using batteries with different amp hours (Ah), the machine will run until the lower (Ah) battery is depleted. We strive for outstanding products and a positive customer experience.
