You should change your snowblower scraper blade annually or as needed. Replacing your scraper four times in two years can be normal, especially for single-stage models, heavy use on rough surfaces (like gravel or pavers), or when clearing very wet snow. If your usage is heavy or you have challenging surfaces, frequent scraper replacement, even every season is not unusual; it is good preventative maintenance to keep your machine working well. The scraper is a key maintenance item and should be replaced along with the paddles when worn to avoid damaging the machine.
