Powerful yet easy to use

Fall is the time for leaf blowing. The Greenworks 80v leaf blower is awesome for the job. It replaced my gas leaf blower on wheels because it is almost as powerful but aiming the air stream is much easier and quicker, and controlling the intensity is just a press of a button. It doesn't choke me with smoke and I don't have to do maintenance on it. Since I have several Greenworks 80v tools and batteries, I can swap out batteries for non-stop , prolonged use. I also used this to dry my cars and motorcycles and clean my driveway. I always give high recommendations for these tools. That I can have environmentally friendly and superior yard tools make me a very happy customer!

This leaf blower is awesome and in my view the best on the market. Will clear your driveway, patio and lawn of leaves and debris with ease. Great construction, durable and has several blower speed options. The battery, when fully charged, lasts a long time and I really like the battery charge indicators Built into the battery.

Let me start by stating that I am unequivocally a fan of Greenworks. The Axial blower marks my families twenty-second GW power tool purchase. It's an outstanding platform and I despise 'cords' in the 21st century. That said I will as always be objective about the pros and cons of this blower as I compare it to the Ego 56v blower, which I also purchased earlier this year.
Let's start with the run time. With a 2 aH batteries, on its highest setting the blower will run no more than 10 minutes. This is roughly equivalent to the running time of the Ego 56v on with a 2.5aH battery. Also with the battery the blower weighs in at nearly 10 pounds- approximately 1.5 pounds (as best I can judge it) heavier than the Ego. In either case you'll be switching arms frequently and/or taking breaks from arm fatigue.
The advertised 500 cfm of air volume and max velocity of 125 mph provide ample power to move debris and leaves on patios and driveways; as well as on grass. I've observed no discernible difference between the GW and Ego which offers higher volume at lower maximum velocity.
Along with the benefit of not having to deal with the oil, gas and associated maintenance of a gas blower, you won't go deaf if you don't (not recommended) use ear protection. Although the Ego is rated at about 2/3rds of the decibels of the GW, I cannot say I observed the GW as significantly louder than the Ego. In fact the Axial Blowers sound is more of a whirls (like a 'toy helicopters propellers) where as the Ego would never be mistaken as anything more than a blower.
At 6'5" tall, most blowers I've used are too short. The GW is no exception. t's also worth noting the 'electronic controls'. Absent a mechanical trigger, the GW is much more comfortable and less fatiguing than the mechanical controls of the Ego.
The 3 available speed/volume settings also offer as complete a range of options I've seen on a cordless blower. The Ego offers 'low', 'high' and 'turbo' speeds while the GW is high medium and low.
Of minor annoyance is the intake for the blower. Located below the battery , I find (especially when switch hands) that it 'sucks up' my clothing for a brief second. The Ego sets the intake below the handle and in front of the batteries. This design eliminates your clothing being 'sucked up' but I've found it's occasionally traps a small leaf or twig during use; so neither design stands out.
Earlier I mentioned the weight of the blower and I'll touch on the balance by simply saying it is perfectly balanced with the weight of the battery. I find the Ego to also be well balanced although I give the edge to the axial on this point.
So in conclusion, will I be returning the GW axial? Absolutely not! It's a great compliment to my other GW tools. Simply put- the performance is equal to that of GW competitors), which comes at a similar or higher price points.

So good and easy to use, my kids want to do the yard work. My kids use this more than I do. So easy and since it is on your back, there is no torque on your arm, and the weight of the batter is not an issues. Works better than my old gas powered blower.
