I've enjoyed using this snow thrower through nearly 4 years of winter seasons. The only non maintenance complication I've had happened this week when the hinge of the battery compartment broke off. Initially I disregarded it as merely a protective piece for the battery, but soon realized it's absence affects the snow throwers function. I called customer service and Tavon walked me through the process. He informed me that the replacement part was out of stock. However, with my proofs of purchase he assured me that a warranty claim should resolve the issue. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to plow the next snow fall!

The snow blower is easy and light to use. Great to easily get out of the garage and clear up the driveway and side walks for the mailman. It’s also feels like a work horse. Not flimsy or cheap in anyway.

We received our Greenworks snowblower just in time for our next snowstorm and it was a blessing. Our previous one was gas operated, difficult to start and keep running. This one works great and runs as long as we want to be outside in these frigid temps we’ve been experiencing as we have a fairly large area to clear. We are very happy with our purchase.

Great airflow output. The power is comparable to what I would expect from that of a gas powered blower or an electrical blower. The medium and low blower speeds are very useful for areas in which the full blast setting is not practical. Battery life is a little weak. I get about 15 minutes of life from a full battery on the high setting. In all fairness, I am using the same batteries that came with my Greenworks lawn mower, which I purchased around 4 years ago. So i wouldn't exactly expect to get much more life per use out of a fully charged battery. Medium and low settings can be used for longer battery life. Overall very happy with this unit and the ability to interchange batteries among my Greenworks Tools.

I bought the 80 volt 20 inch Snow blower back in 2015 after my gas snow blower quit on me. I was an early adopter with reservations on everything from the plastic to the power. The blade has minor nicks in it from years of use. The snowblower still works like the day I bought it. It has never failed to start. I don't smell like oil and gasoline after I am done. It has been used routinely to clear 2 car driveways. For most people the information above is all you needed to know. If you want more details please continue to read.
Fresh snow is no problem. It has literally cut through snow well over the hood. Wet snow is trouble for any blower. I have had just about the same trouble I would expect from wet snow jamming the chute. I little less problem with this device because it is electric. I don't second guess sticking my hand down the chute to clear it because the device is completely off. I don't worry about it starting right back up because it is just a lever and push of the button. In the past with gas powered, you had to find the stick because it was still running. I have never been brave enough to stick my hand down a gas powered snow blower running but I have seen it. I still cringe just thinking about it. It is quiet enough to clear a driveway without waking a neighbor. The headlights let you work during hours early or late you might not otherwise. It is light enough to be thrown in the back of a pickup without getting a ramp out. Before you cheer this is the only downside of this device. It is light. There are times I feel like I have to push harder because it is so light (bottom of the driveway). The trade off is well worth it to me (I go to other neighbors/relatives houses to clear snow sometime). I have hurt my back moving gas snowblowers before. This thing is like picking up a 4 or 5 year old child. No problem!
My wife loves this snowblower. She used the 1 stage gas snowblower I had before ONCE. After that, she would just go get the shovel every time. When I had a 2 stage available she would cut me "the look" and walk away. After watching me a few years she asked how I turned it on...I showed her and off she went. She actually said it was fun. I milked that for as long I could but eventually she caught on. She has commented that it is light and easy for her to maneuver. She has also commented on the fact she can get it out of the garage without me or moving vehicles if I'm not around or she doesn't want to wait for me.
Logistics: There is no oil or gas so it can be folded down stored sideways or upside down for all I care. I regularly clear my 2 car drive way plus the side walk on 1 battery. I have 3 batteries (lawn mower and chain saw) so I always have a battery ready to go. Clearing strategy usually involves me starting in the middle of the driveway and throwing to either side. I work my way to the edges of the driveway. I prefer to clear fresh snow. I don't like leaving it to pile up for 2 or 3 days. Fresh snow under the 20 inches you can walk fast and cut right through. Don't let wet snow freeze into chucks and think any snowblower beyond stage 2 will cut through it.
If you are looking to transition away from gas and oil in general. The 80 volt Greenworks system will allow it with no compromises. If you are just looking for a stage 1 snowblower that can replace most gas stage 1 snowblowers this will fit the bill.

Great Snow thrower !!! Exceeded my expectations

Bought this last year and only used it once on about 4" of snow. This year used it many times. One storm was 27" and I was very happy how it performed.

This thing is powerful for electric. We have an extremely long driveway and just had over a foot of snow dumped on us the other day. My husband loves going outside to use this thing and his back no longer hurts (mine too) since we don’t have to shovel as much. We used it with light fluffy snow and heavy wet snow the next day after it rained on top of the snow. It worked well both times and cleaned down to the driveway. The only thing I recommend if you have a larger area like we do, is buying a backup battery if you want to get the job done in one shot without waiting for the battery to charge back up. Enjoy and click buy, you won’t regret it! We regret not buying it sooner.
